Committee on Consumer Credit and Financial Institutions
Our Committee is made up of a lawyers interested in the delivery
of consumer financial services and the operation of financial institutions
and the laws that govern those activities. We meet sporadically
as significant issues arise and communicate electronically on a regular
basis particularly during the Maryland General Assembly focusing
on new Maryland legislation. All meetings and communications
are open. Recent topics upon which the Committee has focused
include: residential mortgage lending and Maryland credit laws; Maryland
consumer protection laws as they impact credit and depository institutions;
and privacy laws. The Committee Chair and Vice-Chair welcome
your questions or comments on issues that should be addressed.
